In “High Tide,” simple brushstrokes bleed into each other to recreate a sensory experience artist Kim Knoll had while in Mexico. “I was inspired by the color of the deep blue sea, the water and mountains in the distance,” Knoll explains. Original artwork was created using acrylic and paint markers on paper. Reproduced here as a giclée print.
Kim Knoll is a Chicago-based artist who seeks calm and stillness through painting memories and moments from time spent in nature. “My style is an abstract interpretation of memorable sights from places I’ve been or the way something makes me feel.”
